Things That Go Bump in the Night

A few years ago, well after dark, I heard my darlin say.."What was that? I just heard something. Go outside and see what's out there." Being the great protector that I am, I responded with a very polite "yes Dear" and grabbed my camera and out the door I went. It didn't take me very long to "see" what was making all the noise. I got a quick picture and went back in the house..quickly. And I mean quickly. My darlin asked, "See anything?" I said "Nope, nuttin honey". Then I showed her the picture I had just taken.

It only took a few hours for her to settle down and go to sleep. Wonder why...

  3. I think I just wrote a comment that disappeared into space, so here goes again. Thanks for stopping by, commenting, and following. Looks like we are working in similar habitat, though you have a snow deficiency! My night motion camera has gotten gray fox, skunk, and raccoon. The bear will be around the day before I decide it's time to take the feeders in at night. This is the first year I've had so many turkeys, and first time I've seen them displaying. What a treat for us!

  4. Oh Lord! I'd NOT have been your darling after that, or erm, at least not immediately. Love the pic of the Red-winged Blackbirds you've got as a banner. They've been migrants here in my yard in South Texas for weeks now and I can't get enough of watching them.

    Great blog. Nice work.
